The bougie is a team event
Most bougie teaching is for the person holding the laryngoscope. But first-pass success also depends on the airway assistant. This course teaches the microskills both of you need, and how to make them work together. You'll learn to:
- Direct the bougie tip and pass it through the cords
- Recognise and fix tracheal and arytenoid hang-up
- Do the four assistant jobs well, and avoid connector hold-up
- Coach each other to first-pass success
- Run a full team bougie sequence
